QPR defender committed to West London future

Queens Park Rangers defender James Perch has rubbished transfer speculation linking him with a return to the North of England according to Get West London.

The experienced 31 year old Mansfield born defender has recently been linked with a return to former club Wigan Athletic but Perch has admitted that the speculation was little more than a rumour and that he is settling well in West London.

Perch has been a key player for QPR this season with the defender making nine appearances for the club although the player did spend a short spell on the sidelines with injury. The defender signed for The Hoops in July 2015 from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee and went on to make 37 appearances for the club in his first season at Loftus Road.

Since breaking into the first team picture as a youngster at Nottingham Forest, Perch has gone on to have an established career in the upper echelons of the English game making almost 450 senior career appearances. After six years as a first team regular at The City Ground, Perch joined Newcastle United in 2010 for a reported £1 million transfer fee spending three years on Tyneside before a spell with Wigan Athletic.

QPR have endured mixed fortunes so far in the SkyBet Championship this season and Perch will now been looking to help his side kick on following his recovery from injury.
