Scunthorpe United 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers

Goalless draw as Wilcox breaks the record

Att:3867  Referee: Mr James Adcock

Promotion Chasers Scunthorpe were held to a goalless draw by Wycombe Wanderers at Glanford Park meaning boss Ross Wilcox has broken the record for number of games unbeaten from starting a tenure at a club.

In a first half of no real chances, Eddie Nolan should have done better when he nodded wide a Gary Mc’Sheffrey corner. At the other end, Max Kretzschmar should have done better, when he blazed over from six yards. In the second half, Matt Ingram pulled off an incredible save to deny Matt Sparrow from close range, before watching Gary Mc’Sheffrey smash the crossbar with a cross from the left. The last action of any note saw Scunthorpe with 10 men as Mc’Sheffrey limped off after the Iron had used all 3 substitutes.
