Aston Villa’s early season crisis deepened after they were defeated 2-0 by Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday afternoon.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side suffered a disastrous start when Ben Pearson scored the opening goal of the game after just five minutes and a miserable afternoon was wrapped up when Jordan Hugill bagged a second just before the half time break.
Villa’s latest loss means that the Midlands club have now failed to win any of their last nine league matches and with pressure mounting on manager Di Matteo fans took to Twitter to give their views on the current situation at Villa Park.

Utter joke of a performance YET AGAIN! As the games go by, the performances get worse & desire to win lessens! Tragic! #AVFC

Try not to dress it up villa fans. It just hasn't worked. Simple…. not hardship or animosity let's get an experienced manager in…#avfc

RDM is a very limited manager tactically poor, in game management is non exsistent. 1 win in 11 is just not good enough very poor #avfc

£50m spent. More than most of the Prem and we are 19th in the Championship. Something is fundamentally wrong at the club. Embarrassing #avfc
