Leeds United players gutted following defeat at Bristol City

Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor has said that him and his teammates were all “absolutely gutted” following last night’s defeat at Bristol City.

Marlon Pack’s second half goal was enough to earn the hosts all three points despite a valiant effort from the Yorkshire club.

The defeat ended Leeds United’s winning streak of four games, and Taylor admitted the mood in the changing room after the final whistle was rather subdued.

“Everyone is inside the changing room was gutted, absolutely gutted,” Taylor said in an interview with BBC Radio Leeds.

“We felt like we deserved at least a point, if not all three. It was a game we definitely shouldn’t have lost.”

The defeat drops Leeds United to 14th, and leaves them four points adrift of the Play Offs.

It won’t get any easier as they face inform Barnsley at the weekend.

But Taylor insists the players are relishing the task ahead of them.

“They’ve started off well, and obviously it’s a Yorkshire derby,” he said.

“We want to win it and take the victory into the International break. It should be a cracking game.”

The game will be Leeds’ final fixture for two weeks, due to the upcoming international break.
