Fulham new boy sidelined for a month

Fulham new boy Floyd Ayite will be out of action for at least a month after picking up an ankle injury according to Get West London.

The 27 year old Togolese international joined Fulham in July for an undisclosed fee from French Ligue 1 outfit SC Bastia and the player signed a three year deal at Craven Cottage with an option of a further year.

Ayite has made six appearances in the SkyBet Championship for The Cottagers so far this season but the player now faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury in the 1-1 draw with Burton Albion at Craven Cottage on Tuesday evening.

The midfielder is expected to recover without the need for surgery however Ayite is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks.

After a disappointing campaign in the SkyBet Championship last season, Fulham have started the new season in excellent form with the club currently occupying one of the play off spots. The Cottagers have lost just one of their seven league fixtures so far this season but the injury sustained by Ayite has come as a bitter blow to the West London club.

The midfield ace is set to miss his club’s next four league fixtures with the player’s comeback pencilled in for the away fixture at Barnsley on Saturday 15 October.
