Bristol City loan ace disappointed despite double at Sheffield Wednesday

Bristol City’s on loan striker Tammy Abraham has said that he failed to take any satisfaction from his two goals last night, after his side threw away a two goal lead to lose 3-2 at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Chelsea player had put City 2-0 up at half time, before goals from Steven Fletcher, Barry Bannan and Kieran Lee earned Wednesday all three points.

Lee Tomlin also missed a penalty for the visitors when the score was 2-1.

“I thought that we totally bossed it in the first half,” Abraham told Bristol City Player.

“It actually felt like we would come out after half-time and score even more goals. That’s how well we were playing.”

“When they got one, and then O’Neil got sent off, the game changed.
“Their crowd were unbelievable, and they lifted their players enough to drive them forward.”
Although Abraham said it was nice to score two more goals, he felt they’d been made redundant by the defeat.
“Obviously I was happy to score, but it’s a team game. If you score two goals, you want to win, it’s as simple as that,” he added.
Bristol City host Derby County at Ashton Gate on Saturday, and Abraham is looking for his team to bounce back.
“I’m pleased we’ve got another game so soon and we’ll be keen to bounce back with three points.”
