Fulham make £3.5m bid for Eibar forward

Fulham have made an offer worth £3.5m for Eibar’s Sergi Enrich according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Cottagers desperately need new strikers after losing both Moussa Dembele and Ross McCormack in the summer. They have already signed Sone Aluko from Hull City, though he is primarily a winger than a forward so the club are still searching for an out-and-out striker, with some reports linking them with a move to former Sunderland forward Asamoah Gyan.

And they are looking to splash the cash they got from Aston Villa for McCormack on Enrich who has spent the last year playing for Eibar. During his time with the La Liga club he has scored 11 goals in 41 appearances and that has impressed Fulham’s head coach Slavisa Jokanovic enough to make a big money bid for him.

The 26-year-old striker started with Real Mallorca and made his début in 2010 before playing for Numancia in 2013. After impressing there, he moved on to join Eibar in 2015. However he only signed a two-year contract with the club and if Eibar want to get a fee for Enrich, they may be forced to accept this offer from Fulham rather than risk losing him on a free transfer this season.
