Leeds United face lower league opposition in the EFL Cup for the second successive game tonight with the Whites having made the journey south into Bedfordshire to face Sky Bet League Two’s Luton Town.
Changes were always going to be made in the game’s line-up, what with Leeds having an important Championship game coming up against Nottingham Forest on Saturday away at the City Ground. In fact, Leeds United head coach Garry Monk made wholesale changes – a full 11 of them.

One welcome change was the inclusion of new loanee Pontus Jansson, the 6ft 5in Swede on loan from Italian side Torino making his Whites début.
However, it’s the re-call of former #1 Marco Silvestri that’s got a section of Leeds fans quite vocal on Twitter.

Jake isn’t hopeful of a positive result, pinpointing Silvestri already as the guilty party.
we'll lose 3-2, Silvestri will make mistakes for 2 of them

Twitter user crisis club is pretty certain that his stake has been wasted.
The feeling of utter despair you have when you bet on #LUFC to keep a clean sheet and then find out Silvestri and Bamba are playing #sake

This Leeds fan is worried when Silvestri has those nosebleed moments when mere mortal keepers think they are Rene Higuita.
Heart in mouth time as Jansson gave the ball back to Silvestri, who decided to round the advancing forward. Scary. #lufc

It’s hard to decide whether Andy is being totally serious with this Tweet.
I am going silvestri clean sheet and he has a worldy game. #LUFC #MOT #SELECTIONHEADACHE

Not all Leeds fans are negative about the inclusion of Silvestri; some fans seeing it as an opportunity rather than a curse.
Glad to see Silvestri in the line up! Think it's a chance to prove himself after being dropped all of a sudden

Marco Silvestri’s Leeds United career seemed to be over when he was sent back from the Ireland Tour and told to train with the Under-21 Academy side. Tonight’s start might mean that he is part of the Leeds United picture after all.
