Alarm bells for Norwich City season ticket holders!

The Pink Un reports that alarms in supermarkets are being triggered and set off by a selection of Norwich City season ticket holders. It is believed that replacement cards, which were send out this summer, have been the cause of this issue at supermarkets in the local area.

Since 2013, Carrow Road Stadium has operated electronic turnstiles. For an additional two years fans used the same cards, before replacements were sent out over the summer to use for this season. A selection of these have been causing the disturbances for some time.

The club has 22,000 season ticket holders, and encourages the club to contact them if they have any concerns of this nature. They have received no official complaints at this point. Several supporters have spoken of the incidents which has led to the alarms blasting out their warning sounds.

One fan spoke of how the alarm went off upon leaving a Tesco store and was approached by a security guard. When he again left the store without his season ticket card, the alarm didn’t go off. Another thought it might have been a bank card causing the problem, whilst another recently saw a video about how tickets can trigger off various alarms. Technology, eh.
