Walsall:
The Saddlers, on paper, have the easiest run in of all three teams, but they do have the largest points gap to over turn, five points. Posh also have a game in hand. Walsall are by far the most out of form team out of the three, having only won four times since the turn of the year, but a 2-0 away win at Bradford last time out should give them confidence going into the last six games. Not facing a single team above them (at time of writing) I believe that Walsall have the best chance of taking sixth away from Peterborough but they will have to work hard to do so.
Last seven games: Shrewsbury (H) Port Vale (A) Bristol City (H) Carlisle (A) Gillingham (H) Stevenage (A) Colchester (H) Predicted points: 16
So after casting my eye over three possible teams to sneak into the League One play-off places, I believe that Walsall have the best chance. However, I reckon that sixth place will be Peterborough’s come 5pm on the 3rd of May.
