Championship side Aston Villa are reportedly interested in Crystal Palace and Wales midfielder Joe Ledley, according to the Croydon Advertiser.
Villa are yet to register a competitive win in six months and fans are disappointed that the winless run has continued. An unfortunate 1-0 loss at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday and an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Luton Town show signs that the Villa squad, which is considered one of the best in the league, still requires improvements.
The Croydon Advertiser has reported that Roberto di Matteo would like to bring Wales international midfielder Joe Ledley to the club to add depth to his midfield.
29-year-old Ledley is a part of the first team structure at Selhurst Park which therefore means that it may take a lot of money and convincing for the Welshman to move down a division.
Ledley isn’t short of Championship experience – he made 226 Championship appearances in 6 seasons with Cardiff City, scoring 26 goals and assisting his teammates 25 times.
Aston Villa welcome Rotherham United to Villa Park on Saturday as they look to bounce back from their EFL Cup exit.
