Norwich complete signing for Tottenham midfielder

Norwich City have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur’s Alex Pritchard for an undisclosed fee as confirmed by the club website.

Just a few days ago it appeared that Brighton and Hove Albion were going to sign the 23-year-old midfielder as they seemed to be only team in the race to sign him. However Norwich hijacked the deal and with reports suggesting that they were offering more money to Pritchard to make sure he joined them, it’s no surprise the midfielder signed a four-year contract with the Canaries.

Over the last few years, Pritchard has had a growing reputation in the game after successful loan spells in the Football League, notably at Peterborough United and Swindon Town. However he hit most people’s radars when he moved on loan to Brentford where he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances, helping the Bees make the play offs.

However Pritchard took a hit last season when after spending the first half of the season at Tottenham trying to get into the first team, he moved on loan to West Bromwich Albion. However while there was a hope he could show the same talent that Harry Kane and Dele Alli did when stepping up to the Premier, he instead couldn’t break into the first team and only made two starts.

Now though he will hope to get Norwich promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
