After the news broke yesterday that Aston Villa had moved for Fulham striker Ross McCormack and their bid had been accepted, Britt Assombalonga’s future was thrown into doubt.
Norwich City had been looking to sign McCormack, but are now reportedly set to bid for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga once again. As always, Norwich fans had a lot to say about the matter on Twitter.
Some Norwich fans were very excited by the news, and didn’t seem too upset about missing out on Fulham striker McCormack:
Norwich would be so much better going for Assombalonga instead of McCormack, get that knee sorted and he's a machine

Other Norwich fans were less positive about the potential move for Assombalonga:

Meanwhile, the news didn’t go down well at all with Forest fans:
Norwich are wasting their time chasing Assombalonga. At this stage of pre-season he's worth more to us than whatever they offer #nffc #ncfc

Seems the Norwich lot think Assombalonga is up for grabs. Would be stunned if we sold him. #nffc

The story is also attracting attention from neutral fans, with several making their views known:

After having a bid for the striker turned down last month, whether Norwich will bid again for Assombalonga remains to be seen. However Ross McCormack is completing a medical at Aston Villa today, and the season kicks off in less than a week.
If Norwich are to go straight back up to the Premier League, they may have to act fast. The club have not only missed out on the signing of McCormack, they have lost the striker to a direct rival. If Norwich don’t sign a striker this summer, they may find next season more difficult than they first imagined.
