Norwich City hijack Brighton deal for Tottenham youngster

Norwich City have hijacked Brighton and Hove Albion’s deal to sign Alex Pritchard from Tottenham Hotspur according to a report from The Pink ‘Un.

Yesterday, it seemed like Brighton were very close to completing an £8m deal for the 23-year-old midfielder but the situation has now changed as Norwich look to hijack the deal and sign Pritchard for themselves.

As Brighton’s deal for Pritchard entered the 11th hour, Norwich also had a bid accepted by Tottenham and were able to start talks over personal terms with him. And according to this report they have also offered more money to Pritchard in the hope to making sure he decides to switch to Carrow Road this season rather than the AMEX Stadium.

Over the last few years Pritchard has become one of the highest rated youngsters in country due to the standard of his performances while out on loan. However last season his reputation stall as after spending the first half of the year at Tottenham, he tried his luck at competing at the Premier League with a move to West Bromwich Albion. However it didn’t work out for him as he only made two starts and now he looks set to leave White Hart Lane permanently.
