Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka could be leaving the club this summer on-loan after the club received enquiries about his availability, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay.
One of the club’s who have enquired, according to Hay, are League One outfit Oldham Athletic. Despite their interest, nothing has been agreed yet.
The 23-year-old joined The Whites last summer from Dutch side Excelsior. The winger has struggled to make an impact during his time at Elland Road and has been unable to secure a regular first-team spot.
Last season, Botaka made 14 appearances in all competitions, contributing one assist in the 2-2 draw away to Hull City in April.
Botaka is also an international player, having represented the DR Congo on seven occasions since his debut in March 2015, scoring three goals.
The Whites have already been active during this summer, signing goalkeeper Rob Green, defender Kyle Bartley, midfielder Matt Grimes and forwards Hadi Sacko, Kemar Roofe and Marcus Antonsson.
Sacko and Roofe have brought addition competition to a starting place in Garry Monk’s side, with both players and Stuart Dallas able to play in the winger role.
The West Yorkshire outfit have also sold midfielder Lewis Cook to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth for a reported £6 million fee.
Leeds travel to Queens Park Rangers for their season opener in the 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship.
