Forest set to announce trio of new signings

Nottingham Forest are closing in on a trio of new signings according to the Nottingham Post.

It is understood that talks are at an advanced stage and at least two of the three potential new signings could join The Reds prior to Saturday’s pre-season local derby at Notts County.

As reported by The72 earlier today, Forest are on the verge of concluding a deal for Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Stephen Henderson. The 28 year old Irish stopper made 22 appearances for The Addicks last season as the South East London club were relegated to League 1 and will compete with Dorus de Vries for the number one jersey at The City Ground.

The second potential new signing is understood to be Benfica wide man Hildeberto Pereira. The 20 year old is currently a member of the Portuguese club’s B team and the Portugal Under 20s international is said to be undergoing a medical at Forest with a loan deal set to be finalised.

Finally, Nottingham Forest coach Philippe Montanier is hoping to sign Poland international defender Damien Perquis. The experienced defender has made 37 appearances and scored two goals for MLS outfit Toronto FC after previously spending the whole of his playing career in France and Spain. Forest are hoping to conclude a deal for the player although it is unlikely that any transfer will happen until at least next week.

Forest have signed defender Thomas Lam and striker Apostolos Vellios so far this summer.
