Forest hoping for quick resolution to capacity restriction

Nottingham Forest are hoping that the restrictions placed on the capacity of The City Ground will be lifted within the next fortnight according to the Nottingham Post.

The Reds are not currently permitted to host football matches at their home ground following the County Council’s decision to reduce the capacity to zero. Forest do not hold a valid safety certificate for The City Ground following a recent annual audit which found that the club do not have a member of staff in place to be a safety certificate holder.

The Championship club are set to host a pre-season friendly at the ground when Hull City are the visitors to NG2 on Saturday 30 July and it is hoped that an agreement can be reached with the County Council to allow the club to play matches at their home ground once again prior to the upcoming fixture.

Nottingham Forest seem confident that the match will take place with the club announcing that tickets will go on sale from 9am on Saturday morning. Ticket for The Reds’ clash with the newly promoted Tigers are priced at £15 Adults, £10 Seniors and £5 Under 16s.

Forest are at home on the first day of the Championship season when Burton Albion are the visitors to The City Ground.
