Norwich put £20m valuation on in demand winger

Norwich City have placed a £20m valuation on Robbie Brady according to a report from ITV Sport.

The 24-year-old was being tracked by several Premier League clubs since the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League but that interest has intensified in recent weeks after he put in a number of impressive performances in Euro 2016 for the Republic of Ireland.

While in France, Brady scored twice for Ireland, including the winner against Italy that would send them to the knock out stages, the first time Ireland have done that since the World Cup in 2002.

This has led interest in Brady to rise even higher and despite manager Alex Neil previously saying that Brady would cost any team £12m, he has now upped that valuation to £20m.

This has led many of the teams who were interested in Brady to drop out of the race which includes Leicester City who see it as too much to pay out and are now looking at other targets.

Norwich won’t mind this much as the point of this valuation was to try and put any potential suitors off buying Brady. Neil has said they are under no pressure to sell Brady or any of their other prized assets this summer and will do their best to keep hold of them.
