Lewis Cook is one of those rare homegrown players that always looked destined to go on to bigger and better things. He was a cert for the Leeds United first team, now it appears that he will be gracing the Premier League next season according to The Telegraph and BBC Radio Leeds reporter Adam Pope on Twitter.
According to The Telegraph, Leeds midfielder Cook is to sign up as a Cherries player in a £6m deal, a deal expected to be wrapped up “within the next 48 hours” by Eddie Howe as “he reshapes his squad.”
Young-star Cook, who has been at Elland Road since the tender age of seven – making 85 first team appearances, is reported to be undergoing a medical on Friday. However, as Adam Pope says in one Tweet on his Twitter page, “Cook as of today was still in Ireland at the #lufc training camp.”
Pope’s Twitter feed contains the following Tweets over the emerging Cook scenario.
BBC Leeds understands a deal has been agreed in principle between #lufc & Bournemouth for the sale of Lewis Cook. pic.twitter.com/ZDPlWUkmec

However, it is also understood that the deal needs the final agreement of #lufc chairman Massimo Cellino.

Would anticipate that Cook will fly back to England shortly to get the move done. In all, likely to be closer to £10m than £6m. #lufclive

The actual structure of the deal sounds something like initial £5m/£6m rising. #lufc
