Sheffield United reject offer for star forward

Sheffield United have rejected an offer of £1m from an unnamed Premier League club for Che Adams according to a report from the Sheffield Star.

The 19-year-old forward has impressed during his time with the Blades and that has caught the attention of plenty of teams including Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town who have reportedly placed Adams on their wanted list.

However while it wasn’t an official approach, one Premier League club made it clear to Sheffield United that they would be willing to pay £1m for Adams. However that team were promptly told that £1m wouldn’t be enough for the player and that they’d need to pay more if they wanted to lure the young forward away from Bramall Lane.

Some reports have suggested that Sheffield United will be demanding at least £4m for Adams but it is likely that negotiations will continue throughout the summer transfer window with the Blades set to do their best to make sure one of their stars of the future stays at the club.

But Adams may not be the only United youngster heading for the exit this summer. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the subject of a £1m bid from Everton and could be about to join their developmental side.
