Finnish international set to move to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are set to complete the signing of PEC Zwolle’s Thomas Lam according to a post on his Instagram page.

The 22-year-old defender, who has been capped by Finlnd five times, has been a star player for Zwolle since he signed for them in 2014 but now it appears he is set to complete a move away from the Netherlands and move to Forest.

In a post he published on the social media website Instagram, he said “New chapter in my career! NFFC” with a picture of himself signing a contract with their financial director Lalou Tifrit attached.

The deal is set to be confirmed by Forest when they receive approval for the deal from the Football League.

Lam is set to become Forest’s second signing of the summer after they recently completed a deal for Apostolos Vellios from Iraklis FC. That was new head coach Philippe Montanier’s first signing after he was appointed as the manager of the club.

He started his career at AZ Alkmaar where he only made six appearances in three years before moving on to Zwolle in 2014. Since then he has made 64 appearances and became an international for Finland.
