Wolves favourites for Leeds target

According to Here In The City, Wolves are favourites to sign Ashley Fletcher from Manchester United, who had been linked with Leeds and West Ham.

Ashley Fletcher spent the season on loan at Barnsley, scoring six times in 23 games in League One, including a high-profile one in the Playoffs, which saw Barnsley promoted into the second tier.

However, Fletcher does not appear to be moving back to Oakwell, with a lot of clubs interested in him; namely Wolves, Leeds and West Ham.

HITC believe that the offer of first team football from Wolves will be enough to tip the scales in their favour ahead of West Ham.

Leeds are thought to still be interested, but are not thought to be amongst the favourites to sign Fletcher.

The forward has played twice for England’s Under-20’s team, where he started up front alongside fellow Manchester United hotshot Marcus Rashford, who has since made a name for himself.

Fletcher is out of contract after turning down an offer to stay at Manchester United in pursuit of more first team football, and Wolves are desperate to sign a striker, so it seems to suit all parties.

West Ham see him as a player for the future and Leeds appear to have cooled their interest after signing Marcus Antonsson.
