Norwich City

4 Premier League teams to battle it out over Championship wideman

The Mirror understands that four Premier League clubs are hoping to sign Norwich City’s Robbie Brady. Following his impressive showing at Euro 2016, Leicester, Southampton, Stoke and West Brom are all looking to make their move.

The 24-year-old has been at Carrow Road for one season after signing from Hull City for £7million. Brady is widely expected to be leaving the Canaries in the coming weeks. Ireland were knocked out of Euro 2016 by tournament hosts and favourites France.

Premier League champions Leicester City have been the long-standing interested party among the four clubs. They highlighted their intentions to sign the ex-Man Utd youngster some weeks ago.

Brady played a total of 49 times for both club and country last season, including every game at the European Championships recently.

Prior to his time at Norwich, the Irishman enjoyed two loan spells at Hull, before it was made permanent in January 2013. Now, he looks set to make an immediate return to the top flight. The question remains where he will end up? Leicester of course can offer Champions League football, meaning they are an obvious draw. Southampton will be under new management. West Brom and Stoke are established Premier League teams.

It isn’t completely out of the question he will remain at Norwich, but even most supporters would accept it is unlikely.
