Last August, the player was handed his first taste of senior football when he was loaned to Championship club Brentford. The midfielder impressed during his time at Griffin Park with Canos making 39 appearances for The Bees scoring seven goals.

The Spanish Under 19 international’s performances during his time in West London saw the player handed a first team debut on his return to Liverpool on the final day of last season with Canos being introduced as a substitute in The Reds’ 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Bristol City’s offer for the player remains on the table however it is yet to be seen whether Norwich City will rival that offer.
