Bolton striker set for medical at Norwich City

Bolton Wanderer’s Zach Clough is set to have a medical with Norwich City according to a report from the Eastern Daily Press.

The 21-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from the Macron Stadium since Bolton’s money worries started earlier in the season and he had come close to completing a move to Bristol City in January, who are once again interested in signing him again this summer.

But while the Robins and Wigan Athletic hope to sign Clough after his Bolton side were relegated to League 1, these reports suggest that it will be Norwich who complete a move for him after they revealed that he is set to complete a medical at the club after a £1.5m fee was agreed.

The Canaries struggled to score last season which was one of the main reasons they were relegated from the Premier League last season. Norwich exacerbated that problem by selling two proven goalscorers Gary Hooper and Lewis Grabban during the season and now that they are in the Championship they are looking to add some extra firepower.

Despite Bolton struggling for a number of reasons, Clough was able to impress and perform well and showed that by scoring seven goals in 29 appearances.
