Fulham striker set to complete move to Celtic

Fulham’s Moussa Dembele is set to end his transfer saga and sign with Celtic according to a report from the Glasgow Evening Times.

The 19-year-old striker has been the subject of much speculation due to being out of contract after a stunning season where he broke into the Fulham first team and scored 17 goals.

It had been expected Dembele would be moving to one of the Premier League clubs interested in him such as Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea, even when there were reports that he was coming close to moving to Turkey after he was linked with both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

But instead he will move north of the border and sign for Celtic as reports have been suggesting for the last few days. It would be an incredible coup for their new manager Brendan Rodgers who has been releasing a lot of their strikers since his appointment earlier in the month.

Even today, Rodgers elected to release Stefan Scepevic, joining the likes of Anthony Stokes, Colin Kazim-Richards and Carlton Cole on the scrapheap. The former Liverpool boss knew he had to replace them and has managed to get the signature of one of the most talented youngsters in England for what will only be a compensation fee which is expected to be around £500,000.
