Several Championship managers given odds for next England job

As I’m sure you’re all aware, England have been knocked out of Euro 2016.

Following their embarrassing defeat to Iceland, England manager Roy Hodgson announced his resignation from his role.

England were beaten 2-1 by a country who have a population the size of Leicester.

With the resignation of Hodgson, rumours are flying about all over the place about who is going to be in the hot seat next.

Former Middlesbrough legend Gareth Southgate is amongst the early favourites, but there’s several Championship managers who have been given odds for the job.

Gary Monk has the shortest odds of any Championship manager at 25/1.

The Leeds boss is yet to take charge of a competitive game at his new club.

Birmingham’s manager Gary Rowett is at 40/1. He has only managed two clubs in his history, Birmingham City and Burton Albion.

Kenny Jackett of Wolves is a long shot at 66/1, whilst new Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo can be found at 100/1.

Joining the new Villa man at 100/1 is Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough, who has just overseen an unlikely promotion for the Brewers.

There are several former Championship managers who are also being linked with the job.

Steve Bruce and Sean Dyche, who both got promoted from the league last season are at 28/1 and 33/1 respectively.
