Reading midfielder reponds to transfer speculation

Reading midfielder Oliver Norwood has responded to media speculation linking him with a move away from the championship side, as per a report from HITC Sport.

Norwood says he is not worried about his future, despite heavy rumours linking him with various clubs.

The midfielder is currently away with Northern Ireland at Euros 2016 and will not consider any moves away from Reading until his nation’s time in France is over.

Hull City, Burnley, Bournemouth and Scottish giants Celtic have all been linked with a move for Norwood this summer. He is reportedly available for around £2 million.

Newly promoted Hull are the team who appear to be the leading the chase. The Tigers boss Steve Bruce is looking for acquisitions to help bolster his squad ahead the 16/17 Premier League season. Norwood knows Hull assistant manager Mike Phelan well from his Manchester United days.

Norwood, 26, has impressed for Northern Ireland so far during the European championships which has intensified the interest in him. He also had an impressive season with Reading last season, making it look almost certain that he will be leaving the Royals this summer.

Despite all the rumours, Norwood is fully focused on the Euros and will not let transfer rumours distract him. Any transfer movement regarding the midfielder will happen after the European Championships.
