2) Brighton & Hove Albion – 8,920 miles
The fact that the Brighton squad tended to use planes to travel to most away games last season is all you need to know! They are a little bit out of the way to most places, Nevertheless, they still managed to take an average of just over 1,600 fans to their away games last season, which is very impressive.
Only eventual champions Burnley enjoyed more points on the road last season, with Chris Hughton’s men only suffering two defats. Although they did draw a whooping 12 times, it at least proved they were hard to beat. They played in a particular manner away from home and it ultimately suited them as they were practically a game away from beating Middlesbrough to second spot.
They’ll be hoping for a similar season next year, obviously going one better in the end. Expectations will be high and it is their away form which again is likely to have a big say in their eventual league standing.
