5 England manager candidates from the Championship – what the odds say

Kenny Jackett – Wolverhampton Wanderers (66/1)

You just cannot see it happening can you!! To be fair, the same could be said for practically 90% of the list of names amongst the  betting to be the next England manager. That is of course no disrespect to current Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett.

He played all of his club football for Watford, well over 300 times. He also played a  number of times for Wales, though he is English-born. In his managerial career he has managed Watford, Swansea City, Millwall and of course Wolves.

With the exception of Watford, he has won trophies at every club he has managed. The Football League Trophy at Swansea in 2007, the League One Play-Offs at Millwall three years later and the League One title at Wolves two years ago.

Probably best you can your fivers in your pockets and not lump on Jackett getting the job any time soon. He has yet to manage in the Premier League, but should he take Wolves up and do good things with them, then who knows.
