Newcastle chasing Spanish forward

Hot property Spanish striker Nano is being scouted by Newcastle amongst several La Liga teams.

Nano currently plays for Tenerife in the Segunda Division, which, interestingly, is where Newcastle signed Ayoze Perez from.

The forward scored 14 times last season and appears to be attracting interest from a lot of different clubs.

The 21-year-old has been scouted by Newcastle’s scout, who appears to have the best job in the world, watching football in Tenerife.

Much like Perez at the time, very little is known about Nano in this country, but Rafa Benitez’ Spanish links and Newcastle’s scouts’ knowledge of the area appear to have helped them find this player.

The player has two years left on his deal and as such would command a fee, but given Newcastle’s size and likely wealth, they should have no issue finding the money required.

Nano has a similar scoring record to Ayoze Perez’ at Tenerife, who bagged 17 times in 50 games, which of course bodes well after the relative success of Perez’ move.

This move would soften the blow of Moussa Sissoko’s admission of his desire to leave which has come out today in the press.

Sissoko has stated that he wants to leave Newcastle and would love to play in the Champions League.
