QPR said to be interested in French U20 striker – other interest

In addition to being in the market for Metz winger Yeni N’Gbakoto, news has also come, via website West London Sport, that QPR have interest in a highly-rated French U-20 striker.

The striker in question is Arles-born 20-year-old Sehrou Guirassy – a tall, rangy forward with French Ligue 1 side Lille, although he spent the final half of this season on loan at Ligue 2 side Auxerre.

Guirassy came up through the ranks at Stade Laval, who also currently ply their trade in France’s second tier competition, progressing from Stade Laval B to the full side on July 1 2014. The French-Ivorian was only at Stade Laval for one season before current side Lille paid a sum believed to be in the region of £375,000 to bring him to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Whilst at Auxerre this season, Guirassy has hit the ground running, scoring eight times and providing two assists in the 16 appearances that he made for the AJA. Prior to that, he appeared in 29 games for Stade Laval in Ligue 2 in heir 2014/15 campaign, marking up six goals.

West London Sport report that any interest that QPR, or for that matter Brighton who are also said to be interested in Guirassy, have in the talented youngster is likely to be met with Lille “demanading a big fee for the France Under-21 striker after he impressed during the recent Toulon Tournament.”
