Retained List: Nottingham Forest to let three go

Nottingham Forest may be without a manager but whilst that search continues they have named their retained list. A total of three senior players have been allowed to leave the club, whilst a plethora of Under-21 and Under-18 players will all move on.

In addition to that, Andy Reid is out of contract but the club are in negotiations with him to extend his stay at the City Ground. He assisted with coaching towards the end of the season, so it could be a player-coach role that he is offered.

Perhaps the biggest shock of those leaving the club and being released in Robert Tesche. The German midfielder joined the club on a free in August 2014 after previously playing for Hamburg. Although he spent time out on loan at Birmingham City, he ended the season just gone enjoying a run of matches.

Centre back Kelvin Wilson departs having been out of favour for most of the previous season. He joined a year earlier than Tesche from Celtic, having previously been with the club before his stint in Scotland. The 30-year-old, who was born in Nottingham and used to play for city rivals Notts County, is therefore on the lookout for a new club.

Finally, winger Chris Burke is free to find himself a new club. He signed a two-year deal in July 2014 when signing on with the club, but hasn’t done enough to earn an extension. He ended the last campaign out on loan whilst at Rotherham United, but he struggled for game time with the Millers as well. He will be hoping to rediscover the form he showcased in his Rangers, Birmingham and Cardiff days with his next club.

New contracts have been offered to youngsters Jordan Smith, Matty Cash, Deimantas Petravicius, Adam Crookes, Alex Iacovitti, Ryan Yates, Elvin Otim and Gerry McDonagh.

The following youngsters have been released from the club: Ross Durrant, Richard Dearle, Jack Kelly, Antreas Karo, Josh Rees, Luke Thomas, Nikolay Todorov, Kasheme Walton, Joe Boyd, Liam Adams, Tom Gamblen, Ishmael Diallo, Dylan Burns, Aidan Austin.

The remainder of the squad remain under contract.
