5 key points from Steve Bruce’s play-off final press conference

Saturday s the biggest game in world football……no, not the Champions League final! More like the Championship Play-Off Final! Hull City face Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley Stadium as both sides battle for a place in next season’s Premier League.

Steve Bruce has today been speaking to the Hull Daily Mail in his pre-match press conference before they travel down to the capital. He are bringing you the main quotes and talking points from what he has had to say.

We’ll give you the lowdown on what Carlos Carvalhal has had to say about his Owls charges as soon as we get it. For now, sit back, relax and have a read of the five main talking points from Steve Bruce’s press briefing.

Forestieri is the Sheff Wed dangerman

In the eyes of Bruce, he was under no illusions as to who was the one man that they need to keep quiet on Saturday under the Wembley arch. Argentinian trickster Fernando Forestieri has had an excellent season with the Hillsborough club and is integral to everything good about them.

The ex-Man Utd centre back also praised former Celtic and Norwich City striker Gary Hooper, but it is pretty clear that he will have certain tactics occupied to keep Forestieri at bay,

“Forestieri he’s the dangerman.

“Hooper has done extremely well since arriving from Norwich.

“But we’ve got good players too so it has all the makings for a great game.

“He’s (Forestieri) got big ability – their marquee signing last summer. I was surpsied Watford sold him. They made him available, but he’s the talisman for Wednesday. He’s given a free role and he’s a good player.”
