Wolves target Cummings set to remain a Hibee

Wolverhampton Wanderers target Jason Cummings has stated his intent on remaining at current club Hibernian next season according to the Express & Star.

The Hibees lifted the Scottish Cup for the first time in 114 years after recording a superb 3-2 victory over Rangers at Hampden Park on Saturday and Hibernian striker Jason Cummings has admitted that he is looking forward to the prospect of European football on Leith next season and does not anticipate leaving the club this summer.

The 20 year old striker was linked with a number of English Championship clubs during the January transfer window and Cummings was again set to be the subject of plenty of transfer interest over the summer.

After a successful spell in Scottish non league football with Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale, Cummings signed for Hibernian in summer 2013. The player has gone on to make 108 appearances for the Edinburgh club and has scored 48 goals while also breaking into the Scotland Under 21s side.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a £1 million transfer offer for the player but Hibernian are likely to want to hold on to their striker with the club aiming to finally secure a return back to the top flight next season.

Wolves are thought to be looking to increase their attacking options in the transfer market this summer with Nouha Dicko, Joe Mason and Bright Enobakhare currently the only first team strikers contracted to the club.
