Northampton Town have already chosen their man to replace Chris Wilder, who was appointed manager of Sheffield United today.
The news comes from Daily Mirror journalist David Anderson on Twitter, who writes that former Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer is wanted by Northampton.

Bowyer joined Blackburn Rovers in 2004 as an Under-18s coach before becoming manager of the reserve team in 2008. The manager was then placed in caretaker charge of Blackburn twice, in December 2012 and March 2013, before being appointed as permanent manager in May 2013.
The club was stabilised somewhat under Bowyer, and Blackburn narrowly missed out on a play-off place in both of his seasons in charge.
However after a disappointing start to his third season in charge, Bowyer was sacked by Blackburn owners Venky’s in November 2015. The sacking now looks harsh, with Paul Lambert being unable to do a better job at Blackburn and also leaving the club.
Miracle-worker Chris Wilder left Northampton for Sheffield United today and fans will be disappointed that they have lost the man who took them up.
However Bowyer kept Blackburn in the Championship in 2013 when they looked to be down, and may have a similar job on his hands if he is appointed as Northampton boss this summer.
