Leeds United set to offer three players new contracts

Leeds United are, according to reports from the Yorkshire Evening Post, set to offer three youngsters new deals ahead of the clubs retained list being announced.

Tyler Denton, Frank Mulhern and Alex Purver are all expected to be offered new deals as the club try to tie down their talented youngsters.

The Whites have already signed 17 year-old Ronaldo Vieira on a two-year contract last week and are hoping fellow youth players follow in his footsteps.

Denton, a left-back, signed a one-year deal last summer and has been at Elland Road since he was seven years-old. The 20 year-old has been a prominent feature for the Under-21 squad throughout the year.

Striker Mulhern, who’s received international recognition by playing for the Republic of Ireland youth team, has also been a regular feature in the Whites Under-21 setup this campaign.

20 year-old Purver has been on the bench for the senior team several times but is yet to make his debut for the firs team. Captain of the Under-21 squad, the midfielder is one of United’s hottest prospects.

Fellow academy graduate Bailey Peacock-Farrell has already been offered a new contract and has been given until Sunday to make a decision on his future.
