Aston Villa monitor unsettled Preston boss, who could quit

Preston North End boss Simon Grayson is unsettled at the club and could quit this summer, according to a report.

Grayson has previously stated that he’s proud of the work he’s done and what the club has achieved during his three years at Preston, but could be set to quit regardless.

It is understood that Grayson is unhappy with the cuts the club are making, which look set to continue into next season despite a solid eleventh place finish this season.

Grayson is also reportedly unhappy that there is going to be a review this summer, despite the manager bringing Preston up last season and keeping the club in the league with room to spare this term.

Relegated Premier League side Aston Villa are said to be monitoring the situation with Grayson, who could be offered the job at Villa park should the owners decide he is the right man for the task.

Grayson has promotion experience with Huddersfield Town and Preston North End, which would be a great asset for Villa.  The Midlands club will be looking to bounce back to the Premier League straight away next season and avoid a prolonged stay in the Championship.
