Boro vs Brighton: Be-still Beating Hearts

It comes down to the final day of the season, it’s almost scripted like a Disney fairytale. Middlesbrough vs. Brighton.

Only one will go up automatically out of the pairing, the other left to the lottery of the playoffs.

Some have been giving it the grandiose title of ‘the £170m game’, or something of a similar ilk. The focus in the press has been on what it means for the promoted team, forgetting the prestige of reaching the Premier League and focusing on the financial rewards and benefits of promotion.

All that aside, it boils down to the players on the field. Will Jordan Rhodes fire Middlesbrough to glory and gladden the hearts of Teesside? Or will Tommer Hemed add to his 17 goals and bestill the beating hearts of Brighton fans?

That’s just it, amid all the pushing for glory and the talk of financial rewards, has anyone thought of the fans and how they feel.
