According to reports from Sky Italia today, recently promoted club Parma are interesting in signing Leeds United forward Mirco Antenucci.

The 31 year-old has struggled to cement a starting place with the Whites this season, making nearly half of his appearances from the bench.

Parma, who are two-time UEFA Cup winners, suffered financial turmoil and were relegated to Serie D at the start of the season.

The Crusaders have romped to the league title, currently sitting 27 points clear of second place and are on course to finish the season unbeaten.

Planning for life in Serie C, Parma are hoping their stature and history will be enough to sway Antenucci to move back to his home country and ply his trade in the Italian leagues once again.

Starting his career with now-defunct Giulanova, the striker went on to play for eight different clubs in various levels of Italian football before being signed by Leeds United in the summer of 2014.

This season has seen Antenucci bag nine goals and contribute four assists in his 38 league appearances.
