Leeds United player storms out of training after fall-out with Steve Evans

Leeds United’s unspectacular season is set to end with a whimper as defender Guiseppe Bellusci has, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, had a falling out with manager Steve Evans.

The defender is rumoured to have stormed out of training last Friday after learning he wasn’t going to be included in the Whites squad to face Hull City.

Originally thought to have been left out of the team due to injury, three witnesses who were at Thorpe Arch (Leeds’ training ground) on Friday saw the defender leave and he would later complain about to some of United’s staff about Evans’ decision.

Bellusci has struggled for playing time this season making just 25 appearances in the league, finding himself behind captain Sol Bamba, Scott Wootton and Liam Cooper in the clubs pecking order.

Nicknamed ‘The Warrior’ from his time playing in Italy, Bellusci never shies away from a tackle and has a poor disciplinary record – picking up 12 yellow cards in his 25 games in the Championship.

A former Italy Under-21 international, the 26 year-old joined Leeds in the summer transfer window of 2014 for a fee of around £1.6 million and has since gone on to make over 60 appearances for the Whites.
