Out of form Nottingham Forest face Blackburn Rovers at The City Ground this evening with temporary boss Paul Williams still searching for his first victory as manager of the club.
The Midlands club have failed to win any of their last seven league matches and face a Rovers side which sit just a place above them in the Championship table on goal difference.
The home side go into the clash with defensive problems. Kelvin Wilson will miss the match with a back injury while Michael Mancienne faces a late fitness test. Striker Jamie Ward has been ruled out of this evening’s encounter with a hamstring injury but there is good news for Forest as long term absentee Britt Assombalonga is set to make his long awaited return to action.
Blackburn Rovers travel to The City Ground with the future of manager Paul Lambert in limbo with the Rovers boss set for a showdown meeting with the club’s owners to discuss their plans for next season prior to making a decision on what his own future holds.
Rovers go into the match without Tommy Spurr who has an Achilles problem while Craig Conway is unavailable through suspension.
The match could be a low scoring affair with Forest netting just five goals in their last 12 league matches while Rovers have scored just four times in their last 11 fixtures away from Ewood Park.
