Evans must learn to “shut his mouth” according to Cellino

Massimo Cellino, Leeds United owner, has told Head Coach, Steve Evans, that he must learn to “shut his mouth”, according to Sky Sports.

Evans has commented on his future at Leeds several times recently, with Cellino considering this too much and wanting Evans to stop.

Cellino said: “He talks too much. He has to learn to shut his mouth. I’ve told him so many times to stop, you have no idea. But he doesn’t.”

It is understood that if Evans wants to keep his job as Head Coach of Leeds United, he needs to cut back from talking to the media as much as he does.

Evans was appointed Head Coach back in October, replacing Uwe Rosler.  Since then the Scot has had a lot to say regarding his future at the club.  Evans is on a rolling contract at Leeds, with an option for the club to extend his deal beyond the end of this season.

Leeds have just secured back-to-back wins, winning away at Birmingham and then beating Reading 3-2 at the weekend.  The team play Wolves at home tomorrow night and have a good chance of registering three straight league wins for the second time this season.

Whether a good run of wins towards the end of the season will help Evans keep his job remains to be seen.
