Reading remind players of responsibilities

Reading have reminded Danny Williams and Paul McShane of their responsibilities after an on field bust up at Middlesbrough, the club have confirmed.

The two squared up on the pitch with 10 minutes to go at the Riverside, before Boro bagged a last minute winner to head back to the top of the Championship.

However, Reading also missed a wonderful chance to upset the hosts, with Matej Vydra missing a sitter just moments before Adam Forshaw got Middlesbrough’s winner.

Reading have now confirmed in a statement that both Williams and McShane have been reminded of their responsibilities.

Manager Brian McDermott said: “I’ve now had an opportunity to see back the footage of last night’s incident and I have talked with both Danny and Paul today.

“It happened in the heat of the moment, during an extremely tight game against a very good Middlesbrough side, but I have reminded both players of their responsibilities to both the club and its supporters.”
