Hull City midfielder will leave if club isn’t promoted

Hull City midfielder Mo Diame has warned the club that he will leave at the end of the season if they do not win promotion to the Premier League, according to a report.

Diame signed for Hull from West Ham United for around £3.5 million in September 2014.  However his addition to the squad was not enough to keep Hull up and they were relegated the same season.

It now looks as though Diame is very keen to be back playing in the Premier League, with the midfielder willing to leave Hull if they do not go up this season.

Diame has been a key player for Hull this season, having already made nearly 40 appearances.  The midfielder has also chipped in with seven goals, including the winner away at Ipswich in February.

Hull are currently fourth in the Championship table, nine points away from the automatic promotion places, as their promotion chase has taken a hit in recent weeks.

Since the beginning of March, Hull have failed to beat MK Dons, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town while suffering defeats against Birmingham, Middlesbrough and Derby.

Burnley continue to look on form at the top of the table and Middlesbrough also look to be getting stronger as the weeks go by.

If Hull can’t improve their game between now and the end of the season, they may be starting next season without one of their key players.
