The Sun understands that Manchester United are considering a big-money move for Hull City left back Andrew Robertson this summer. It is also believed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the Scottish international.
The 22-year-old is said to be rated in the region of £15million and Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is set to be given an £80million budget to bolster his squad. That is unless Jose Mourinho comes into the club!
Robertson has been a hit with the KC Stadium club ever since signing from Dundee United in 2014. He featured 24 times in the Premier League last season as the Tigers were relegated into the Sky Bet Championship. He has so far started a further 36 matches in this campaign, scoring once in an away victory at Brentford in November.
The Glaswegian will be hoping to guide Steve Bruce’s side back into the top flight at the first attempt this season, although it looks as though a play-off final victory seems their best possible hope. Failure to achieve this will lead to the likelihood of him leaving the club and jumping up a league anyway.
Robertson, who scored for Scotland in a friendly defeat against England at Celtic Park in November 2014, has seen his stock in the game increase season-by-season. With clubs like Man Utd and Arsenal fighting over him, his stock is set to increase even further in the coming years. Will he be a Hull City player next season? Only time will tell.
