A little over three weeks ago Middlesbrough’s season looked to be close to coming off the rails when manager Aitor Karanka looked set to leave the club after a behind the scenes fallout following the club’s 1-0 defeat at lowly Rotherham United.

Boro fans feared the worst, particularly after losing the following league fixture at crisis club Charlton Athletic with Karanka absent from the dugout.

Three games later and that discontent is as good as forgotten with the club and Karanka settling their differences and performances on the pitch producing maximum points.

After victories over Hull City, QPR and Huddersfield Town, the Teessiders’ promotion challenge is back with a bang and fans took to Twitter after last night’s 3-0 home demolition of Huddersfield Town to give their views on their side’s revival.



With The Riverside Stadium buzzing once again, Boro have the Championship title in their sights. There are undoubtedly plenty of twists and turns ahead in the promotion race but with promotion rivals Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion left to play, a long awaited return to the Premier League is in Middlesbrough’s own hands.
