Ipswich Town host struggling Charlton Athletic in the Championship this evening looking to keep their Play Off hopes alive.

The Tractor Boys are five points behind sixth placed Derby County in the Championship table and with just seven games remaining their is little margin for error for manager Mick McCarthy to successfully guide the club to a Premier League return.

Ipswich Town go into the Portman Road clash with doubts over experienced striker Daryl Murphy who is struggling with a calf problem but fellow striker David McGoldrick has recovered from a hamstring injury and is available for selection. Midfielder Teddy Bishop is also available following hamstring and shin injuries.

Crisis club Charlton Athletic arrive in Suffolk on the back of a hard earned 2-1 victory over Birmingham City at The Valley in their last outing and have no fresh injury concerns.

Defender Chris Solly has recovered from an ankle injury and could feature but the match is likely to come too soon for fellow defender Patrick Bauer who is still recovering from a long term groin injury.

Ipswich Town have an excellent recent record against Charlton Athletic having not lost any of the last six matches between the two sides but The Addicks will be fighting for their Championship lives at Portman Road this evening and the match promises to be a mouth-watering encounter.
