York City took another giant leap towards a return to non league football after falling to a 3-2 defeat to promotion chasing Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.
Goals from Jamille Matt, Reuben Reid and an own goal from William Boyle gave The Pilgrims a 3-0 half time lead. Russ Penn and Luke Summerfield both netted second half strikes for York City to reduce the deficit but The Minstermen were unable to recover from a first half collapse at Home Park.
The result hammers a further nail in the York City Football League coffin and after the match fans took to Twitter to give their views on their side’s display.

As much as I don't like the man I'd like to wish Russ Penn all the best, sounds like a horrible injury #ycfc

At least we didn't get humiliated, can see that there's a bit of fight there. Too late now though #ycfc

Macnamara rightly getting some stick for #ycfc fortunes, but quite how the McGills get away without criticisism is beyond belief #yorkcityfc
