Foxes midfielder extends Burton Albion stay

Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury has had his loan spell at Burton Albion extended until the end of the season according to the Burton Mail.

The Moroccan central midfielder joined The Brewers on a one month loan deal from The Foxes last month and has now seen his deal extended until the end of the campaign after impressing at The Pirelli Stadium.

The 18 year old is a product of the academy set up at The King Power Stadium and the player is highly rated by Leicester City. The midfielder is yet to make his senior debut for the club but has starred for their development side.

Choudhury has been labelled as one of The Foxes’ best homegrown stars for years and was linked with Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid as a 16 year old academy player. The youngster has also been tipped to make an impact on the international stage in the future with England.

The midfielder has made five appearances during his loan spell at The Pirelli Stadium so far as The Brewers have continued their chase for Championship football. The club are six points clear at the top of the League 1 table and face key matches against Oldham Athletic (home) and Millwall (away) over the Easter period.
